Huntington City Beach sees 11 million visitors every year. Why? Our endless summer weather and outdoor activities offered year-round. Some visitor’s favorites include: volleyball courts, bonfire pits, concerts, and of course the iconic Huntington Beach Pier spanning 1,850 feet in length. Our pier sits in the heart of Huntington Beach and allows visitors and locals alike to experience the breathtaking views amidst the sounds of crashing waves and the ocean breeze. This is the perfect place to snap a few photos! Dine with a view at Ruby’s Diner, Duke’s, and Sandy’s or grab a quick bite to eat at Dwight’s, Jack’s, and Zack’s. Also, The Sunset Vista RV Campground gives visitors and locals a place to camp at Huntington City Beach. October-May is the camping season. In addition, the U.S. Open of Surfing, Huntington Beach Airshow, Surf City Escape Triathlon, AVP Volleyball Tournament, Fourth of July Firework Show, and more events all happen at Huntington City Beach. It’s a place for relaxation and action and is opened from 5 am to 10 pm.

Bolsa Chica State Beach
Bolsa Chica State Beach—located across Pacific Coast Highway from the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve—welcomes novice surfers with its calmer waves, and its upscale concessions. Sea Salt Beachside Burger, Beach City Provisions, Pacific Kitchen and Sea Legs at the Beach. Sea Legs at the Beach pours up favorite wines and beers and upscale beach-friendly menu. There is many spots to view the sunset or watch the surf from VIP cabanas, fire pits, lounge chairs, and Adirondack chairs. Also, it’s paradise for campers, with 50 sites outfitted with electricity and water hookups, bonfire pits and basketball courts. The RV camping season is opened October through May. Bolsa Chica State Beach is opened 6am to 10pm Monday thru Sunday. Gates close at 9pm.

Huntington State Beach
Huntington State Beach beckons swimmers, body boarders, and boogie boarders, as well as beach bonfire nights. It is located south of Huntington City Beach spanning 2 miles with a wide swath of sand stretching with volleyball nets, basketball courts, bonfire pits, and a biking and walking trail. The fire pits are first come, first serve. Come early and claim yours! Because it’s in close proximity to a ecological reserve, beachgoers will spot migratory birds and other local wildlife. Also, you may bring your recreational vehicle but you must be inside it or on the beach. Each parking space must be available for a paid parked vehicle at all times. In addition, Coastal Country Jam, Above & Beyond, and Back To The Beach Festival all happen at Huntington State Beach. It is open from 6 am to 10 pm.

Huntington Dog Beach
Huntington Dog Beach reigns as one of the most visited beach attractions by humans and their canine companions. It got voted as the Top Orange County Attractions by Forbes Travel Guide with one of the biggest corgi beach parties in America! It’s located on Pacific Coast Highway between SeaPoint Avenue and 21 Street where dogs are permitted, and allowed off-leash. Here you’ll find public restrooms, a picnic area with tables, and doggie waste bags. In addition, Surf City Surf Dog happens yearly here at Huntington Dog Beach, where dogs surf the waves of Surf City USA on surfboards! Huntington Dog Beach is opened from 5 am to 10 pm and is a awesome time.

Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach stops time as the quintessential Southern California beach town. It is located north of Bolsa Chica State Beach and features one of the widest beaches in Southern California. Surfers, kite surfers, and sailboarders shred this 1.5-mile stretch of ocean. With plenty of action sports posts along Pacific Coast Highway, renting a surfboard, stand up paddle (SUP) board or kayak for the day or week is a breeze. In addition, local favorites eateries in Sunset Beach are: Mother’s Tavern for a beverage, Captain Jack’s for a seafood dinner, and Harbor House Cafe with a casual diner’s atmosphere serving up deliciousness 24/7. Sunset Beach is filled with rich history. It was annexed by Huntington Beach in 2011 and holds its charming unique identity. Look for the iconic Water Tower that’s been hovering over Sunset Beach since the 1960s. Parking is complimentary but limited.
